North Carolina Physician Medicare Part D Primer
|
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
now offers prescription drug coverage to all 42 million
Medicare beneficiaries in the United States. Your
patients will be turning to you with questions.
However, CMS DOES NOT EXPECT YOU TO
COUNSEL PATIENTS ABOUT THE PARTICULARS
OF PART D DURING OFFICE VISITS.
People and organizations qualified to counsel patients
about Part D are listed under "Patient links." Give
your patients this contact information, and a printed
list of their current medications to help them make
decisions about the Part D plans available in our state.
To better understand Part D, watch the 45 minute
audiovisual presentation at right and browse the
pages of this site.
